December 15, 2001 -- Los Angeles, California -- The
American Telemedicine Association (ATA) will become the Official Partner of B2B
Health Media, Inc., publisher of Telemedicine Today magazine, in the
forthcoming Telemedicine Today 2002 Buyer's Guide, the two organizations have
announced.
As Official Partner, ATA will provide consulting
services to ensure that the 2002 Buyer's Guide, the first published by the
magazine since 2000, will be the most relevant, comprehensive, and accurate
source of telemedicine product and service information in the industry.
In exchange, the 2002 Buyer's Guide will highlight
ATA-member manufacturers and suppliers, along with their product/service
information, with a special designation. Also, the ATA logo will be proudly and
prominently featured on the cover.
Telemedicine Today's 2002 Buyer's Guide will feature
sections on videoconferencing, teleradiology, store and forward systems,
telemonitoring peripherals, software, networking and telecom products, and
more. New sections in this edition will include detailed information on key
trade shows, conferences and educational opportunities in the telemedicine
field.
Scott Frager, President and CEO of B2B Health Media,
Inc., said, "It is truly an honor working the ATA. Its credibility is second to
none and they have been extremely helpful with their insight and practical
advice."
"I feel our relationship is a classic case of win-win
for everyone involved. We are able to tap ATA's extensive knowledge base to
ensure that the 2002 Buyer's Guide is the premier sourcebook for anyone in the
telemedicine industry. At the same time, ATA has the opportunity to promote its
membership in the industry's front-rank magazine. Telemedicine Today's readers
will be the ultimate beneficiaries of this new relationship."
The American Telemedicine Association is the
industry's leading resource and advocate, promoting access to medical care for
consumers and health professionals via telecommunications technology. Jonathan
Linkous, Executive Director of ATA, said, "We look forward to working with
Telemedicine Today on the forthcoming 2002 Buyer's Guide. The Buyer's Guide is
an important, credible and comprehensive source of information about products
and services supporting telemedicine. The 2002 edition will feature many
enhancements and will once again become the first stop for many decision makers
looking for telemedicine vendors."
